The Kensington News and West London Times, 9 September 1882, Henry Sleeper, Baker, living in Wellington-road, Bridge-road, Hammersmith, was re-examined on the charge of embezzling money belonging to Frederick Weinel, of Spencer-terrace, Shepherd's-bush.  The prosecuter asked the magistrate to deal leniently with the prisoner. Mr Paget committed him to prison for two months. Perhaps this is the Henry Sleeper, Baker who

Chelsea News, 2 Feb 1878 Kensington and Chelsea, London, reports William Sleeper, aged 12, an imbecile, is eligible for removal to the Asylum at Clapton, should there be a vacancy.  I believe the article refers to the London Orphan Asylum, Clapton as identified by Adrian Prockter in his Know Your London blog.  Perhaps this is William Sleeper whose father died when he was quite young - although the age is too old?
